Who we are: 

Archer is an aerospace company based in Palo Alto, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 60 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

What you’ll do: 

  • Prepare short and long-term facility plans based on overall business goals. Plans should include required CAPEX, OPEX and actions needed
  • Prepare and maintain detailed budgets for CAPEX and OPEX related to facility operations and leasehold improvements. This includes a five-year plan for maintenance, and facility improvements
  • Manage vendors and negotiate contracts with a focus on continually analyzing costs to optimize spending where possible
  • Responsible for physical security of all locations by managing external vendors and internal surveillance and badge access systems
  • Lead processes with brokers, architects and general contractors on all facility selection and improvement plans
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including infrastructure maintenance, occupant support, and development projects
  • Manage the design and implementation of workspace planning
  • Ensure compliance with EH&S requirements at all Facilities, including but not limited to Emergency Procedures Manual, IIPP Manual, Local Code Compliance Log, ADA Compliance Log, OSHA Log, Safety Meeting Log, Janitorial Log, As-built Drawings and Contract Files
  • Hire, train and motivate facility personnel. Maintain positive staff relations. Conduct or approve performance evaluations for staff

What you need: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, including 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience in start-up and manufacturing companies preferred
  • Experience in leasing, construction, engineering and all facets of property operation and building management preferred
  • Maintenance Management (CMMS and Work Order) systems experience preferred
  • Certified Facility Manager (CFM) and/or International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) membership a plus
  • Proficient in understanding management agreements, leases and contract language
  • Experience with a building management system tool
  • Excellent computer and systems knowledge: Strong literacy in Google Suite (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong discipline of financial management including financial tracking, budgeting and forecasting
