Archer is an aerospace company based in Palo Alto, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 60 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

What you’ll do: 

  • Work with the systems engineering team to design and implement a requirements management data model and approval workflows in Polarion to support documentation of our certification basis, aircraft, system, subsystem, item, and software requirements
  • Work with avionics team to design and implement a process for requirements to source code traceability
  • Work with GNC team to design and implement a process for establishing traceability between high level software requirements and MBD low level requirements 
  • Work with configuration management and PLM application engineers to establish automated release processes between Polarion and the PLM system
  • Work with systems engineering and configuration management to establish requirements specification baselines, change management, and requirements status accounting reports and dashboards
  • Work with IT team to manage Polarion system infrastructure, including system backup, archival, and retrieval processes, and user account management
  • Develop custom queries, widgets, dashboards, workflow conditions/functions, and extensions based on business requirements
  • Provide support and training to the Polarion user community

What you need:

  • 5 years of experience with Polarion in the following areas: Work item data model, work item and document workflows, documents & pages, plans & testing, queries, reports, projects, resource traceability, permissions, connectors to external systems/tools, subversion repository management
  • 3 years of experience with developing custom workflow conditions/functions, pages, and extensions
  • Experience developing advanced queries in Lucene & SQL
  • Development experience with PSO scripting engine and Polarion SDK (Open Java API, Rendering API, Web Services API)
  • Experience with Linux server administration
  • Experience with systems engineering and software development processes, ideally in aerospace
  • Strong communication skills for interfacing with the broader engineering, business teams, vendors, partners, customers and the IT community

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Experience with collections, Teamcenter connector, Simulink connector, test automation connector, model-based systems engineering connector, ReqIF
  • Development experience with Python
  • Experience with ARP4754, DO-178/254, aerospace experience in a TC program
  • Experience with git
  • Experience working in an agile development methodology
  • Experience with configuration management processes (including change management and software configuration management)
