How You’ll Make a Difference

As a bioprocess engineer, your mission is to contribute to the development of phase-appropriate manufacturing processes for Arcellx’s cell therapy products. In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally on process development initiatives in process design, GMP adaptation, process characterization, technology transfer to CMOs, and more to produce transformative cellular therapeutics for the Arcellx portfolio.

The “Fine Print” – What You’ll Do

  • Plan, organize and execute laboratory experiments to support cell culture processes development and GMP processes transfer activities to enable clinical manufacturing.
  • Lead cell culture process development initiatives to enable process improvements, process characterization, and develop the process control strategy.
  • Aid in design and creation of development plans contributing to process definition and process lock.
  • Work with MSAT scientists on cell processes GMP adaptation.
  • Critically analyze process data and author technical reports and standard operating procedures.
  • Review SOPs, raw material specifications, development reports and protocols at Arcellx and CMOs.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to perform and troubleshoot experiments or assay performance.
  • Contribute to relevant CMC sections of IND/BLA and other regulatory documents.

Skills and Experience We Look For

Our ideal candidate has an MS in chemical engineering, biological engineering, biomedical or biochemical engineering, plus 8+ years of relevant experience. Successful candidates must have some experience in process development of cell therapy products and be able to demonstrate they possess the key skills needed to do the job, such as a strong understanding of process development, technical transfer, and GMP requirements.
