Overview:

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to join our team as a Manager-HR, primarily responsible for overseeing HR operations and serving as a strategic business partner to various departments within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in HR generalist functions as well as business partnering, with a focus on driving organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:  This role would have matrix reporting and collaboration with India and the U.S. People Team with exposure to leaders in both the Geo’s. Flexibility with working in US time zones will be necessary. 

HR Generalist (50%):

  1. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as best practices.
  2. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and employee development.
  3. Conduct regular audits of HR processes and systems to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  4. Manage employee data and HRIS systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality at all times.
  5. Coordinate and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in HR, and recommend enhancements or changes to existing programs and processes.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals and initiatives.

HR Business Partner (50%):

  1. Build strong relationships with departmental leaders and stakeholders to understand their business objectives and talent needs.
  2. Serve as a strategic partner to business units, providing HR insights, solutions, and support to drive performance and achieve business goals.
  3. Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop recruitment strategies, and ensure a smooth and efficient hiring process.
  4. Lead workforce planning initiatives, including succession planning, talent assessment, and career development.
  5. Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement, and develop action plans accordingly.
  6. Facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning.
  7. Act as a change agent, driving organizational change initiatives and ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
  8. Provide coaching and guidance to managers on leadership, team dynamics, and employee engagement strategies.
  9. The ability to manage competing priorities, display strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving are key skills to this role’s success. 

Qualifications:

  1. 6-8 years of progressive experience in HR, with a strong background in both generalist functions and business partnering roles preferably managing R&D Teams.
  2. Demonstrated expertise in HR policies, procedures, and best practices, with a solid understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  3. Proven track record of building effective relationships with internal stakeholders and influencing business outcomes.
  4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  5. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and present HR-related data and metrics.
  6. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  7. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  8. Experience in Workday systems is a plus. 
  9. Experience working with a start-up company or tech company is a plus.
  10. Experience working with technical business leaders (engineering, product, data) is preferred.
