Senior Product Manager
About Aquia Inc.
Named the “#1 Best Remote Startup to Work For in 2025” by Built In, Aquia is a digital services firm specializing in cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and compliance automation for the U.S. government.
Founded by Veterans, we are passionate about making our country digitally capable and secure. Since 2021, we’ve generated millions in cost savings through cloud services and licensing optimization, enabled civil servants to double health care fraud investigations through streamlined cloud-based systems, and reduced authorization timelines by 74% through modernized security processes. Last year, we were named the 2024 Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOSB) of the Year by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
Aquia is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead product strategy, delivery, and user-centered innovation for a mission-critical VA.gov digital service. This role will support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in modernizing and improving the experience of Veterans filing for disability benefits. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, systems thinker with a track record of delivering high-impact, complex digital products in agile government or healthcare environments. This is a high-visibility, user-facing role focused on outcomes that matter—better experiences and faster, more accurate claims processing for Veterans.
What you'll do
-
Lead product management for features that improve the disability benefits application experience on VA.gov, particularly in the "conditions and evidence" domain.
-
Own the product roadmap and shape quarterly and sprint-level goals aligned with VA OCTO’s Benefits Portfolio priorities.
-
Translate complex Veteran and employee user needs into clear, actionable product features, using research, analytics, and direct user feedback.
-
Drive the delivery of high-quality, accessible, and secure digital tools that meet VA compliance requirements and exceed user expectations.
-
Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, researchers, and federal stakeholders to ensure cohesive and measurable progress across multi-disciplinary teams.
-
Maintain an obsession with reliability, data integrity, and minimizing production issues, especially those that risk Veteran-submitted data.
-
Identify and resolve blockers to progress, escalate issues thoughtfully, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
-
Ensure that the product meets high accessibility and usability standards and is aligned with platform-wide design and content patterns.
-
Leverage both quantitative and qualitative research to continuously prioritize work that drives the highest value to Veterans and VA employees.
