Position Overview: We are looking for an individual who is passionate about Quality Assurance (QA) and automation. The QA Lead will lead, mentor and participate in cross-functional, geographically distributed teams and will advocate for quality for those teams and ensure they are working efficiently.  The QA Lead will report to and work closely with the QA Manager.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and / or refine frameworks and processes designed to optimize all QA-related activities in the context of Professional Services, i.e., related to the implementation of Aptos products for our customers.
  • End-to-end management of all aspects of the PS QA team, including, but not limited to:
    • Long-term Capacity Planning
    • Resource Allocation and Management
    • Involvement in Presales cycles, to provide required inputs from a QA perspective.
    • Operational management of QA execution to ensure that QA and Project objectives are met. This includes development and / or review of Test Strategies and Test Plans.
    • Test Case design/review, Test execution and Test Reports.
    • Status reporting of appropriate metrics to report on the effectivity and productivity of the QA team.
    • Ensuring continuous improvement practices are developed and built-into team working.
  • Contributions, if required, to Test Automation frameworks that will provide significant productivity benefits to execution.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering / technology or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ work experience in building, managing and growing QA teams in the context of Professional Services
  • Proven work experience in working directly with global customers across geographies (preferably North America, Europe)
  • Proven success with both automated and manual testing tools and technologies.   Your test automation experiences include planning, assessments, script development and maintenance.
  • Experience within the Retail space.
  • Ability to maintain a highly utilized professional services team. Look for opportunities to continuously engage the team.
  • Ability to work with Resource Manager to properly staff the team. Includes the ability to manage last minute changes.
  • Ability to work with the internal team, implementation consultants and customers to help build test strategies, plans and test bases from a clear set of requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills (clear and concise)
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and across regions.
  • Proficient with Agile - you are comfortable working with global teams.
