Position Overview: We are currently seeking consultants to join our team for our Point of Sale (POS) solution. As a Point of Sale (POS) Applications Business Consultant, you will play a crucial role within our Professional Services team, driving the successful deployment of our solution for our valued clients. Your responsibilities will involve close collaboration with project stakeholders, such as developers, project managers, and clients, ensuring that our POS application aligns perfectly with each customer's unique needs and specifications. Working alongside a dedicated project team, you will contribute to various stages of the implementation process, from solution design and application configuration to testing and training initiatives. 

 

Role & Responsibilities: 

  • Engage with clients of Aptos who have adopted and are using Aptos’ point of sale solution. 
  • Collaborate with the stakeholders to understand business needs and opportunities and convert them into functional requirements aiding in solution design, configuration, and testing of the solution. 
  • Detailed analysis of business processes and workflows to understand customers’ specific solutions and build configurations to meet the requirements. 
  • Document business processes, workflows, and functional specifications by following the standard practices.  
  • Log, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve functional issues (e.g., application, interfaces, configurations) 
  • Help deliver comprehensive end-user training & support to business and technical users of all levels. 
  • Provide expert customer service and build client relationships. 
  • Manage client expectations and delivery of the solution. 
  • Collaborate and work across internal departments and applications to provide a seamless implementation for the client while maintaining the organization’s best practices. 
  • Learn to be respected as an authoritative source in a narrowly defined functional domain but remain generally knowledgeable regarding broad industry segments. 
  • Work in an Agile environment where multiple projects or other deliverables happen concurrently. 

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field.  
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in implementing solutions for retail store operations such as Point of Sale, Cash Registers, Tills, Integration with Accounting Ledger 
  • Proficiency in integrating POS with downstream systems such as CRM, OMS, Merchandising, and Sales Audit is highly advantageous. 
  • Extensive experience with RDBMS, SQL databases, SQL queries, XML, and DotNet applications. 
  • Prior experience in engaging with clients in discovery workshops, designing processes and workflows based on using off-the-shelf software, documenting specifications of the designed system, configuring the application per the requirement specifications, application testing, troubleshooting, and providing production support. 
  • Prior experience in similar software solutions supporting POS operations for retailers such as Oracle, and Fujitsu POS applications is a significant plus. 
  • Knowledge of the concepts of retail and POS operations and relevant certifications will be preferred. 
  • Experience in business analysis including planning, design, and implementation. 
  • Experience/familiarity with simple functions of SQL to manage data-driven needs of the projects. 
  • 2 – 6 years of relevant experience, implementing Point of Sale, or related applications 
  • BE / B.Tech. with MBA (preferred) 
  • Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills with a focus on time management 
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude 
  • Collaboration skills to enable team members to work efficiently and effectively to achieve common goals.
