About this Role

Given the importance of security and compliance at Aptible, we are seeking an ambitious IT Manager to oversee all Information Technology (IT) functions. The IT Manager will collaborate closely with Aptible’s C-level Executives, Senior Leadership and our Security team. Initially, this person will be focused on ensuring Aptible is securely utilizing its critical security systems (such as Okta and JAMF), working with Finance to help with Vendor Management, as well as, using Aptible Comply’s User Access Review software to regularly evaluate the access controls for each critical software system.
Given the unique nature of this role in relation to our product, the IT Manager will be in a critical position to impact Aptible Comply’s product roadmap as an informed expert on how teams utilize GRC tools and collect evidence for security certifications.
 

Your Impact

  • Configure and administer our cloud-based business systems, such as G Suite and Atlasssian.
  • Work with others as needed to configure and administer departmental systems, such as AWS, Github and Salesforce.
  • Control our laptop fleet using Jamf and Apple Business Manager.
  • Onboard and offboard employees; adjust access according to role changes (also, create a system for this that doesn’t always depend on you being available).
  • Be the one-person “help desk” for internal IT questions and issues.

Your Strengths

  • Ideally 4+ years experience in B2B SaaS IT Management with a track record of success.
  • Expert in SSO & MDM configuration and setup, particularly Okta & JAMF, respectively
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills. Self-directed and independent.
  • Clear and critical thinking, decision making, and problem solving skills. Troubleshooting and use-case analysis.
  • Experience with vendor risk management and user access reviews.
  • Experience working in a remote-first environment is a plus.
  • GRC along with compliance, audit, and evidence collection experience a plus.
  • Coding/scripting/interacting with SaaS tool API experience is a plus.

Our Interview Process

We seek to make the experience of interviewing with us as delightful, efficient, fair, respectful, and transparent as possible.
 
A typical process at Aptible might include the following steps, and takes approximately 3 Weeks to complete. We try to move as quickly as possible, but if you have any time constraints, please let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate.

2) A Discussion-Based Interview with an Aptible Team Member (45-60 Minutes via Zoom)
3) A Take-Home Work Sample Exercise (NB: You will be compensated for completing this.)
4) A Discussion-Based Interview with an Aptible Team Member (45-60 Minutes via Zoom)
 
We believe that the Work Sample Exercise is an important part of the process, in that it gives you the opportunity to demonstrate your skills in a concrete way. We take the time to design these exercises such that they: a) give you a view into the actual work you'd do at Aptible, and b) are standardized, so every candidate is evaluated using the same criteria.
 
Lastly, Aptible conducts calls with 3-4 References, ideally managers who have directly supervised you in the past and/or colleagues who can speak to your work.
