Job Summary:

As a Sr. SRE, you will play a critical role in supporting our application developers by providing expert guidance on infrastructure usage. Additionally, you will be responsible for designing, developing and administering the cloud architecture to ensure reliability and ease of use for our Application and Core development teamsYou will collaborate with developers as we work to build on our Platform Engineering roadmap. As a key member of our Platform Engineering team, you will drive a culture of continuous improvement and work to enhance the developer experience using industry-leading practices. You will act as a technical leader and guide other team members in the successful completion of technical initiatives, while also contributing to patterns, best practices, and strategies for continuous integration and deployment pipelines for a variety of architectures. Responsibilities:
•    Work as a member of a software development team to build team capabilities that improve velocity and ensure quality of customer applications and services in aPriori’s Cloud. 
•    Solve complex operational problems through code
•    Enhance the developer experience through Platform development using best-in-class tools to develop APIs for Infrastructure services. 
•    Define, evangelize, and maintain Platform Engineering best practices across aPriori products. 
•    Collaboratively participate with team members to identify areas for improvement and design solutions. 
•    Participate with Architects and product development teams to build reliable Internal Developer Platforms (IDP) 
•    Identifying and leading opportunities to improve automation for the company; scoping and building automation for deployment, management, and visibility of our services  . 
•    Provide guidance and expertise for infrastructure usage to application developers 
•    Key to the role will be your ability to teach and mentor other engineers and establish strong relationships with our application development customers 
•    Contribute to cloud architecture; design, development, and administration to ensure reliability and ease of use for our development teams.. 
•    Contribute to and create the definition of patterns, best practices, and strategies for continuous integration and deployment pipeli

Required Skills/Abilities:
•    Google Cloud Platform (GCP) DevOps, Architect, Data, or Network Engineering certification is required. 
•    Proven ability to learn, mentor, and work well in a team environment
•    Inquisitive and driven mindset, with a passion for solving complex problems and developing Platforms as a Product 
•    Ability to analyze emerging technologies and trends to guide technical decision making for the team. 

Education and Experience:
•    Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline or 5-7 years’ relevant professional experience
•    Demonstrated leadership of teams using modern technologies such as Terraform, Python, Jenkins, Git, and extensive GCP and AWS experience  
•    At least 3 years of experience in scripting or development languages, including expertise in Python, Ruby, JSON, Java, and Node.JS  
•    At least 3 years of experience in Cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and Google  
•    At least 3 years of experience in container orchestration and practices, including Kubernetes, DC/OS, and Docker Swarm 
•    At least 3 years of experience in container infrastructure automation tools, including Helm, Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet
•    At least 2 years of experience in DevOps and Cloud Network engineering
•    3+ years of Cloud infrastructure experience  
•    2+ years of experience in a Software Development role
•    2+ years of system administration experience
