You will join a team developing state-of-the-art general-purpose robots designed to operate in human spaces and with human tools. It is designed to work alongside humans, mobilize to human spaces, and manipulate the world around it.

We’re seeking an experienced technical writer to guide documentation in general purpose humanoid robotics. Reporting up to the Director of Product, you will guide and execute the roadmap for user facing documentation.

Responsibilities:

Own the technical documentation roadmap.
Create and maintain high-quality, succinct user-facing documentation for a general-purpose humanoid robot and its supporting systems.
Work with the Engineering and Marketing teams to acquire a thorough understanding of the product’s form, function, and features.
Open to leading a team of technical writers including in-house staff and contract writers.
Follow established procedures for content approval, records, and document releasing.

Requirements:

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
You make decisions in uncertainty, prioritizing velocity over perfection
You prioritize user feedback, promoting that voice to internal teams
Demonstrated history of translating internal engineering information to user-facing documentation.
Experience generating user and developer-oriented documentation in a technical field such as robotics
Experience collaborating with engineers to improve user experience via illustrations and diagrams
Able to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously

Portfolio highlighting your documentation style
Experience guiding a team of contract writers
Previous experience specifically in robotics products, industrial or consumer
Previous experience specifically in artificial intelligence
Familiarity with Adobe FrameMaker, Figma
