That’s where you, the Sales Development Rep comes in.

About This Role

Fundamentally, this job is about discovering new customers and new channels for the AppSumo platform.

If you’re an organized, self motivated, and competitive with excellent communication skills, then this role is for you. It’s designed for someone that is excited by a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with continuous opportunities for advancement.

You’ll be working alongside our sales leadership and will be involved in key business opportunities. On the day to day, you’ll be in charge of finding the right opportunities that we need by monitoring the latest trends, finding the right prospects and discovering new growth channels. In the first three months of this role, success means finding and building a pipeline of opportunity that is over a million dollars. 

A day in the life of an SDR at AppSumo includes discovering new opportunities that match our target prospects, finding new channels for us to explore, and working with our business leaders to close hundred thousand dollar deals. Some of the deals that we’ve had in the past include, MailChimp, Zapier and Evernote. In short, you’re in charge of finding the next the next big software opportunity that we need to partner with.   

This is a unique role that requires organization, attention to detail, time management, and hustle. Our ideal candidate has 2+ years in sales, specifically geared towards running outreach campaigns and negotiating strong partnerships.
