But our mission remains the same. We’ve partnered with over 1,000 startups to-date to bring our community the absolute best deals on software. These startups have gone on to become household names - we’re talking Evernote, Dropbox, and Mailchimp to name a few.

With hundreds of successful product launches and over a million entrepreneurs served, we’re looking to take AppSumo to the next level. We know that in order to do that, we need to develop new strategic partnerships. That’s where you, the Business Development & Partnerships Manager, come in.

About the role:

This job is about building new business partnerships with bloggers, founders, and entrepreneurs of all kinds in the tech space. We are looking for someone who can effectively recruit new partners, grow revenue, and expand the reach of our partnership program. 

You’ll be working alongside our marketing team and will play a major role in the decisions we make as a company. On the day-to-day, you’ll be using a partner platform called Impact, which is one of the leading tools in the partner management and marketing space. Within this tool, you’ll have complete creative freedom to negotiate and build lasting relationships that will result in healthy new revenue for the program. In the first three months of this role, success means you have closed 10 significant partnerships ($50k net-new revenue).

 

This is a unique role that requires both a sales and marketing skill set. Our ideal candidate has 2-3 years sales/closing experience ideally in the software/tech space, as well as a solid foundation in business development or affiliate marketing.

If you’re excited by the prospect of meeting and exceeding revenue goals, developing partner strategies, and forging meaningful relationships, then this role is for you. We need someone who’s eager to make calls, send emails, and network as needed to get your foot in the door, establish a dialogue, and highlight the opportunity for potential partners.



Why you might not like it: 

This isn’t a traditional sales role, but you must employ a confident sales mentality when hunting down and negotiating new partnerships. If you’re intimidated by rejection, need a lot of direction, or are risk-averse, then this role is not for you.

 

Pay & Benefits:

The starting salary for this position is $109,000. In addition, we offer paid lunches every day, a stocked fridge, any snacks you want, and two all-expenses paid company trips with the team. (You can check them out here.) You’ll be equipped with a brand-new computer, monitor, standing desk and any other gear you need to feel productive. Not to mention, we also have in-office massages weekly. Oh, and you can bring your dog to work. We love your dog :)
