DevOps Manager

As the DevOps Manager, you will be at the helm of advising clients on cutting-edge DevOps solutions, leading a team of talented DevOps engineers, and managing the full spectrum of DevOps activities. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your key responsibilities will include:

Hands-on implementation and leading the team in DevOps projects, ensuring the successful deployment and management of web applications in cloud environments.

• Ensuring the delivery of efficient, secure, and scalable systems that leverage modern web architectures and best practices for content management and delivery. 
• Advising clients on fit-for-purpose DevOps solutions, including technology selection, architecture, and system design, with a focus on content management systems and modern web architectures. 
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle and drive the adoption of automation and infrastructure-as-code. 
• Managing the overall DevOps schedule, estimations, and budget, while maintaining a strong focus on quality, security, and performance. 
• Overseeing the professional growth and ongoing development of a small DevOps team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. ● Supporting pre-sales and new business development by providing technical expertise and solutions.

EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will have:

• 9 years of development experience, with at least 7 years in DevOps and 2+ years leading DevOps teams.Expert-level knowledge of GCP, AWS, and Azure (nice to have) cloud platforms, services, and best practices, with experience in deploying and managing content management systems and web applications. 
• Deep understanding of DevOps principles, processes, and tools, including IaC, configuration management, CI/CD, and orchestration, with a focus on automating the deployment and management of web applications.
• Extensive experience designing, deploying, and managing container-based solutions using Docker and Kubernetes, particularly with GKE and EKS, for hosting content management systems and web applications. 
• Advanced scripting skills in Python and bash for automation and complex orchestration tasks, with experience in automating the deployment and management of content management systems and web applications.
• Expertise in monitoring and observability using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and NewRelic, with a focus on ensuring the performance, availability, and user experience of web applications. 
• Experience implementing static analysis, vulnerability scanning, and security best practices using tools such as SonarQube, TSLint, and Snyk, with a strong emphasis on securing content management systems and web applications. 
• Knowledge of serverless computing and experience in designing and implementing event-driven architectures using services like AWS Lambda, GCP Cloud Functions, and Azure Functions for building modern web solutions. 
• Familiarity with headless content management systems, decoupled architectures, and API-driven development, with experience in integrating various systems and services to build scalable and maintainable web applications.

TECHNOLOGIES:

• Deep understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM, network security, and compliance frameworks, with experience implementing security best practices in GCP, AWS, and Kubernetes environments. 
• Proficiency in network administration, including VPC design, DNS management, load balancing, and security groups, with expertise in GCP networking services (e.g., VPC, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud DNS) and AWS networking services (e.g., Amazon VPC, ELB, Route 53). 
• Mastery of Git workflows and best practices for version control and collaboration in large-scale projects, with experience in writing and maintaining Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts, and Operators. 
• Extensive experience with Unix, Linux, and Windows systems administration and optimization, including proficiency in using GCP management tools (e.g., Cloud Console, Cloud Shell, Cloud SDK) and AWS management tools (e.g., AWS Management Console, AWS CLI, AWS CloudFormation). 
• Proven track record of building and enhancing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks in complex enterprise environments, with experience in Kubernetes deployment strategies (e.g., rolling updates, blue-green deployments, canary releases) and implementing solutions on GCP and AWS.Strong focus on automation, scalability, and operational efficiency to drive continuous improvement, with expertise in Kubernetes monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack, as well as experience with GCP and AWS monitoring and logging services (e.g., Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Amazon CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail).
• An advanced practitioner of agile methodologies, with experience leading Scrum and Kanban teams, and a deep understanding of DevOps principles, processes, and tools, including IaC, configuration management, CI/CD, and orchestration. 
• Extensive knowledge of GCP compute services (e.g., GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Functions), storage services (e.g., Cloud Storage, Persistent Disk, Cloud Filestore), and database services (e.g., Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, Cloud Bigtable), as well as AWS compute services (e.g., EKS, EC2, Lambda), storage services (e.g., Amazon S3, EBS, EFS), and database services (e.g., Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift).
• Experience with deploying, managing, and optimizing content management systems and web applications in cloud environments, leveraging modern web architectures and best practices for scalability, performance, and maintainability. 
• Knowledge of serverless computing and experience in designing and implementing event-driven architectures using services like AWS Lambda, GCP Cloud Functions, and Azure Functions. 
• Familiarity with headless content management systems, decoupled architectures, and API-driven development, with experience in integrating various systems and services to build modern web solutions.

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) certification 
• Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect or Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification
