Software Engineer (Data and Tooling) @ CueBox, Early Stage Startup in NYC
About CueBox
CueBox is an early stage startup building modern software for performing arts and cultural organizations (like your favorite orchestra, theater, dance troupe, etc). These organizations are vital to society; they inspire, connect and delight us. Yet, these organizations have been traditionally underserved by technology. We’re changing that and helping them thrive. Our product meaningfully increases our customers' revenue and saves them time by streamlining workflows in fundraising, ticketing, marketing, education and more.
We have a fast growing and happy customer base, expanding into more segments across the country and internationally, and we are looking to add a talented and driven engineer to our small team!
Location
CueBox is headquartered in New York City, and we are a hybrid workplace. Our team is in the office 3 days a week Tuesday-Thursday.
About the Role
Organizations switch to CueBox because their key business data is buried or scattered across multiple systems, making it hard to access, analyze and act on. This fragmentation wastes time and leads to suboptimal decisions. A critical part of onboarding new customers is uncovering, analyzing, and transforming their historical data to migrate it seamlessly into our platform. We are seeking a talented and driven engineer to design, implement, and scale a powerful and modern solution to streamline this process. Your work will ensure our growing customer base can onboard efficiently and unlock the full potential of our product.
In this role, your first goal will be to own and automate the data onboarding workflow to dramatically reduce onboarding times while ensuring customer satisfaction. Additional responsibilities will include building tools for internal and external use to service other customer needs, and contributing to other core ares of the product. This is a high impact and critical role for the company and for our customers as we continue to grow.
This role reports directly to the CTO. You will:
- Accelerate Onboarding: Develop scalable data pipelines and tools to automate the onboarding process, driving down client onboarding times and increasing efficiency.
- Leverage AI for Innovation: Experiment with AI tools to streamline workflows, reduce manual tasks, and further accelerate data transformation and integration.
- Enhance Customer Experience: Partner with the customer success team to address data challenges, deliver technical insights, and propose process improvements that save time for both customers and internal teams.
- Build Robust Tooling: Design and implement internal and customer-facing tools to support seamless data onboarding, address customer support requests, and meet ongoing data import needs for existing clients.
- Strengthen the Core Product: Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance core product functionality by building business logic, APIs, and full-stack features while optimizing database performance and query strategies.
