Building vertical-specific software for fundraising offices in independent schools is a compelling, multi-billion-dollar TAM business opportunity.
Independent schools already pay for old, clunky fundraising software, missing critical school-specific personas and workflows. This legacy fundraising software misses the core job of improving the primary task of school fundraising: building stronger relationships with donors in less time. There is a compelling need for modern, AI-powered fundraising software purpose-built to make communication easier.
What We Are Building
We are building an AI-powered communication, task management, and donor management platform purpose-built for independent schools. Fundraising is one of the oldest professions; however, fundraising in schools is unique due to the number of stakeholders involved and the more complex organizational and human dynamics involved in fundraising in schools (e.g., a current parent of a child can also be a trustee at the school).
Therefore, there is a substantial opportunity to develop several exciting and challenging workflows to speed up and improve how things are done today with the ultimate goal of helping schools raise more.
Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated engineer to play a vital role in shaping our product and technology stack.
As a critical member of our engineering team, you will have a unique opportunity to work directly with customers, influence the direction of our technology and product, build a robust, scalable platform, and help us scale the company to $100M+ in ARR.
Given we are a fast-paced, early-stage startup, we are looking for team members who thrive in ambiguity, will enthusiastically learn, grow, and debate with others, and are hungry to tackle complex problems with a world-class team.
Your initial responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Full-stack development with Python (Django) and Javascript (React, Next.js)
- Collaborating with other engineers and customers to rapidly evolve the product
- Delivering simple end-to-end solutions that solve the pains of school fundraisers
- Helping us scale the product sustainably to hit $1M+ ARR
- Growing together with us for years to come as we scale from $1M to $100M+ in ARR
Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer
- Prior experience designing, building, and shipping software used by millions of users
- Expertise in TypeScript, React, NextJS, Python, Django, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong product sense with a customer-centric, iterative approach to software development
- A collaborative approach to software development and strong teamwork skills
