AppLovin’s eCommerce team helps eCommerce brands convert new and repeat shoppers at a massive scale through our industry-leading network of in-app supply. By leveraging the same performance-based targeting techniques as Social, Audience+ delivers the right ads to the right shoppers, ensuring advertisers reach their ROI goals. This is achieved by adapting AppLovin's renowned AI-advertising engine, AXON, previously celebrated in mobile performance marketing, to the eCommerce sector.
We are looking for an accomplished and strategic leader to build and lead our Business Development organization for eCommerce in China. This is a senior role responsible for launching and scaling a new business line, requiring a deep understanding of the Chinese eCommerce market and key players in the industry. With at least 7 years of experience as a demand-side business builder focused on eCommerce in China, you will be instrumental in shaping our business development efforts and driving significant growth across the region.
Who you are
- A seasoned leader with a proven track record in eCommerce marketing, digital marketing, and ad tech in China.
- In-depth knowledge of key players in the Chinese eCommerce ecosystem; experience with platforms like Shopify is a plus.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to balance operational, analytical, and sales skills, acting both as a visionary leader and hands-on operator when necessary.
- Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to navigate a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
What you'll do
- Build and lead the Business Development team focused on eCommerce in China, taking full ownership of the business line's launch and growth strategy.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key players in the Chinese eCommerce market, ensuring AppLovin’s new eCommerce growth solution is widely adopted.
- Act as a strategic partner to CMOs and Heads of Marketing, consulting on growth opportunities and aligning AppLovin's solutions with their business objectives.
- Collaborate with AppLovin's broader Business Development and Sales teams in the region to drive revenue growth.
- Represent AppLovin at industry events and conferences to expand the company's presence and grow your own market knowledge.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record.
- At least 7 years of client-facing experience working in eCommerce marketing or demand-side business development, with a focus on the Chinese market.
- Deep understanding of the mobile ad and eCommerce ecosystems.
