About the role

Frontend Development Internship at Appier works on a wide range of software projects that may extend solution innovation, influence product development lifecycle and contribute directly into Appier’s product lines.

We are seeking potential candidates who can commit to 2-3 days a week and participate in the internship for a minimum of 6 months, starting immediately. Please ensure that you have checked your availability before applying.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop interactive UI components with modern web frontend technology
  • Improve product quality with test automation and tooling
  • Investigate and resolve product issues
  • Participate in idea brainstorming and contribute to technology, algorithm, and product innovations

About you

[Minimum qualifications]

  • Working toward a computer science or related technical degree 
  • Good knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and DOM APIs
  • Familiar with Git, or other version control systems
  • Team player and able to work independently
  • Proactive, good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Loves trying out new technologies and sharing with team what problems do the new technologies address. All kinds of "new technologies" is welcomed, from FP-like languages (e.g. ReasonML, PureScript, Elm), CSS-in-JS or utility-first CSS, data-loading mechanisms (e.g. Relay, Apollo), to experience sharing on using certain components, or webpack plugins / linter configs / codemods / boilerplates that improves developer experience (DX)

 

[Preferred qualifications]

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Familiar with React.js, or other modern frontend frameworks
  • Familiar with HTTP, browsers and web standards
  • Familiar with web frontend troubleshooting
  • Experience in web performance evaluation and optimization
  • Experience in CSS Pre/Post-processors (PostCSS, SASS or LESS)
  • Experience in ES6/ES2017 transpilers (Babel, TypeScript, etc.)
  • Experience in JavaScript module bundlers (Webpack, Rollup, Parcel, etc.)
