About the role
Appier is seeking a part-time Japanese expert who is detail-oriented and capable of delivering precise Japanese content in a well-structured manner. Proficiency in English is also essential for working in a language-diverse team.
Responsibilities
- Translating English topics into Japanese.
- Establishing precise and commonly used Japanese keywords.
- Monitoring and improving data quality for keywords.
- Being able to judge the relevance of articles to specific topics.
About you
- We welcome native Japanese speakers, foreigners with a bachelor's or master's degree in Japanese, or those with a JLPT N1 certificate.
- Having translation experience or relevant experience in translating technical content is a plus.
- Strong command of both English and Japanese. Proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of Japan culture and current trends.
- Awareness of language-related issues online and ability to find reliable sources.
- Fast learner with a strong sense of responsibility to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to communicate effectively for smooth project delivery and responsiveness to emails/messages from the manager during working hours.
- Ability to adapt quickly and succeed in a dynamic and culturally diverse environment.
Working hours: 8-16 hours per week (maximum: 20 hours per week).
(A 1-hour meeting with all team members every Friday afternoon is required. The rest of the working hours can be scheduled freely or discussed with the manager.)
Hourly salary: 200 NTD
Please note that English is commonly used within the team. The interview will primarily be conducted in English.
Please note that this role is a long-term part-time job, we will expect the candidate plan to work at least 1 year in Appier.
