About the Role

Appier is hiring a Technical Writing Manager to lead the language team and develop user-centric documentation that strengthens our products and improves customer experience. You will also spend a portion of your time doing hands-on technical writing in English.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team that includes technical writers, translators, and a project coordinator
  • Work with PM, UX designers, and developers to write documents and UI text in English (hands-on technical writing)
  • Manage competing priorities across multiple products in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Ensure overall consistency, accuracy, and quality of content in multiple languages and define success metrics
  • Plan and initiate long-term projects
  • Manage team resources and streamline workflows 
  • Communicate with client-facing teams across the globe to understand needs, priorities, and pain points related to documentation, as well as manage expectations and requests 

About you

[Minimum qualifications]

  • At least 6 years of experience as a technical writer
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Native-level proficiency in English with excellent communication skills
  • Experience in project management and people management
  • Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Understanding of the duties and challenges associated with technical writing and translation

 

[Preferred qualifications]

  • Familiar with digital advertising industry and SaaS products
  • Ability to speak a second language other than English (especially Chinese, Japanese, or Korean)
  • Technical background is a plus
