As a Manager of Product Management, you’ll manage a team of Product Managers, interact with key business stakeholders, and own the prioritised product backlog to ensure your team delivers high-quality software with each and every iteration.
To be successful in this role, you will:
Develop and guide the career path of up to 5 Product Managers; provide input to create staffing plans with departmental leadership
Define the vision for major product features and functionality
Understand the market and usage of Appian’s software compared to competitors
Assist with the quarterly plan and prioritised backlog for one or more major product areas
Collaborate with persona leads to plan and deliver coordinated multi-quarter efforts
Lead by example in contributing to culture of learning and growth
B.S. in Computer Science or related field
4+ years of experience, ideally as a Product Owner or Product Manager for a Scrum team
3+ years as a mentor or manager
Strategic thinker and problem solver with a proven ability to prioritise, negotiate, and execute in order to accomplish amazing things
Ability to draw clarity out of complex and ever-changing environments; comfortable working through ambiguity
