We are looking for a passionate Information Technology Engineer with a strong desire to learn and grow who has the technical knowledge to provide enterprise support on our corporate computer systems. Appian IT Engineers are customer-oriented, analytical, have superb time management skills, and are masters at communicating efficiently to understand problems and find creative solutions. IT Engineers regularly engage with cutting edge technology and quickly become core members of our expert and highly respected internal team

About the Job 

  • Provide technical support to Appian’s global employees
  • Provide capabilities to improve Appian’s productivity
  • Enhance overall system security, performance and availability
  • Assist in the maintenance of Appian’s IT network and server infrastructure
  • Provide on-call resolution for mission critical issues
  • Monitor and respond to queries via IT Service Desk cases, chat, email, and phone
  • Accurately document the resolution of issues within the case management system 
  • Research and provide timely updates to end users as required 
  • Windows and Macintosh desktop administration
  • Administration of Appian's voice platform
  • Write or revise internal documentation for troubleshooting or awareness
  • Maintain hardware and software inventory
  • Laptop setup and account creation for new users
  • Assist with the life cycle of end user hardware

About You:

  • B.S. in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Competency in administering desktop operating systems
  • Ability to work nights or weekends, as needed, to perform regular onsite maintenance or on call duties
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Interest in cloud computing
