Job Purpose and Overview
Join the team that owns OKR for Jira (our best-performing product), Panorama hierarchy & structure for Jira or Goals, projects and programs for Jira. OKR stands for Objectives and Key Results, a popular method of setting and tracking measurable goals, famously adopted by Google, Gates Foundation, Bono, and many other world-renowned companies.
Our products are growing quickly as we are adding new features, improving users' experience and improving core technology. We’re looking for new colleagues who will help us with that mission.
OKR for Jira is developed in Java, TypeScript, and React. It’s hosted in the Google Cloud Platform and utilizes the MongoDB Atlas database.
What you will do
- Join a self-organizing, cross-functional product team and cooperate closely with other Software Engineers, Product Manager, Team Leader, and other specialists like Product Marketeers or Support Engineers;
- Design, build, and maintain efficient and scalable Java and React based applications;
- Follow and establish the best engineering practices: automated testing, code reviews, pair programming, YBIYRI (you built it you run it);
- Share your thoughts openly and honestly on what would be the best for the customers and the business: you will be part of discussions about the future of our products and Appfire;
- Decide freely about your day and assignments - we do not micromanage people and we do care about work & life balance;
- Be the change you seek - if you see that something can be improved, suggest how and make it happen (alone or by engaging your colleagues);
- Benefit from the seamless access to Support team, quick feedback and direct communication with our customers.
What we would like to see
- Proven record (5+ years) of delivery of multiple complex software development projects or products;
- Hands-on experience with back-end (Java, Spring: MVC, Boot, Data, etc.);
- Willingness to learn and use multiple technologies (frontend and backend);
- Truly engineering approach to solving problems. Good theoretical foundations of computer science (e.g. algorithms and computational complexity, OOP) are super practical in the ever-changing landscape of technologies;
- Solid architectural understanding of web applications, including performance, quality and security aspects;
- Good understanding of modern Cloud architectures, and practical experience implementing them in AWS or GCP;
- Ability to decompose complex problems into well described, realistic to estimate tasks;
- Desire and ability to mentor other team members;
- Command of English at level B2 or higher;
- Front-end technologies experience with TypeScript / JS and its frameworks (e.g. React) is nice to have.

- Salary Ranges: 18 300 - 25 100 PLN gross/month on Contract of employment + Possibility to apply for 50% tax deductible costs on creative works (AKUP/IP tax-deductible costs)
