About You

The Cable Specialist, Pre-Sales is responsible for delivering serviceability, pricing, survey facilitation, and paperwork to internal and external customers by utilizing systems and reference materials.   This role is a key part of the support journey for our internal and external customers and is essential in realizing revenue for cable providers/sales.  This role may be specialized or generalized depending on the focus and is expected to execute deliverables within defined SLAs, meeting all KPIs and targets outlined by leadership.

What you'll do and how you'll have an impact

  • Nurture an outstanding support journey for all stakeholders.  
  • Leverage ticketing system to log order requests and replies from internal and external customers.
  • Pre-qualify service addresses within provider portals to determine serviceability results for cable providers. 
  • Quote generation for all cable opportunities that can be done through provider portals. 
  • Proactive tracking and quote management for requests that must be sent directly to a provider for pricing.
  • Updating internal CRM systems with requested quotes or contracts and communicating with advisors to obtain missing or invalid information.
  • Communicating with the Advisors via Phone Calls, emails, AppDirect Office, IM etc. 
  • Escalate to the provider management teams when quote and contract SLAs are missed pushing for resolution.
  • Prepare and deliver contacts and associated paperwork for cable provider services.
  • Information gathering for cable requests that do not require contracts.
  • Submit signed contracts to the AppDirect orders team for processing.
  • Answer questions from advisors about cable provider products and processes.

What we’re looking for

  • Related work experience with operations tasks preferred, Bachelor’s degree a plus
  • Prior Technology or Telecommunications experience a plus
  • Order Entry/Tracking/Management experience is a plus
  • 3+ years telecommunications/technology experience required for specialized roles
  • Technology channel sales and/or distributor experience a plus
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology provider contract verbiage and vernacular
  • Superb customer support, organizational, and problem solving skills required
  • Top-level data integrity, organization, and analytical skills required
  • Extensive experience and comfort with Excel or Google Sheets
  • Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce, Oracle, and Zoho
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English (other languages an asset).
