GALLERY MANAGER
APPARATUS is a New York-based design studio that explores the relationship of lighting, furniture and objects in immersive environments, threading the historical and the cultural through a modern lens.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountable for all aspects of Gallery operations to ensure delivery of the best possible client experience and sales.
- Provide senior leadership and manage an accounts team.
- Partner with Senior Director & SVP Sales to ensure successful team performance to sales targets.
- Develop and maintain the highest level of aesthetic and technical knowledge about the APPARATUS collections, customization options and specifications.
- Escalate any gallery maintenance issues as needed, facilitate book of approved vendors.
- Accountable for implementation and upkeep of HQ policies and procedures for team.
- Oversee order flow to ensure accurate and timely information is being shared and received.
- Work with accounts team to understand client needs and provide solutions, escalating to SVP Sales and Senior Director of Sales as needed.
- Develop deep understanding and utilization of internal technology tools to monitor multiple lines of business, track revenue and identify areas of opportunity.
- Effectively monitor and communicate updated order timelines, possible delays and deliveries to relevant team members and/or clients.
- Partner with Senior Director of Sales to direct client experience and maintain the upkeep of visual standards.
- Partner with New York-based Brand team to develop and implement large and small scale events in the gallery.

- Strong aesthetic skills with a keen eye for detail, desire to learn and deliver an on-brand APPARATUS experience and coach team to the same standard.

- Solutions-based thinker with a consistently positive attitude, displayed both as an individual and within a collaborative team of peers, directors and Senior Leadership.

EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or related experience, with minimum 5-6 years sales experience in the interior design industry and/or with luxury products.
- Prior experience in both managing and building a team in a similar leadership role.
- Experience working with a variety of clients and stakeholders with a high value placed on elevated service.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively; ability to delegate and drive for results.
- Proven ability in a high-paced environment that values consistency, efficiency and excellence.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Full-time gallery hours.
- Longer hours and weekend availability as needed.
- Domestic and international travel as needed.
PERFORMANCE REVIEW AND CHECK-INS SCHEDULE
- Regular check-ins.
- Annual performance review.
