What can you tell your friends when they ask you what you do? 

You will participate to the development that creates the world's #1 app stores analytics service. Together with the team you will build out new product features and applications using agile methodologies and hot open source technologies. 

As the database administrator you need to keep track of production database performance and ensure databases are running with high performance and availability. You are responsible for monitoring and fixing database problems while ensuring minimal impact on the business. You will be involved in all architecture review and manage the overall strategy and process related to RDBMS.

You will be responsible for and take pride in….

  • Build, deploy, configure and maintain PostgreSQL/Redis/ElasticSearch/AWS RDS/Snowflake databases
  • Provide the organization with clear, detailed and high value database solutions
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot database performance and scalability issues
  • Design and implement deployment, backup and replication scenarios
  • Propose and implement high availability solutions
  • Becoming better at what you do every day

You should recognize yourself in the following…

  • At least 3 years experience as a PostgreSQL DBA or MySQL DBA
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and pl/pgsql
  • Strong experience with backup and replication solutions such as streaming replication and logical replication
  • Good experience with NoSQL DB like Redis, ElasticSearch
  • Experience with distributed database is a big plus
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Accountable, self-starter, genuinely interested in all aspects of production DBA work
  • Good skills in scripting using Shell/Python/Ruby is plus
  • Experience in AWS Cloud Service is a big plus
  • Fluent in English written and spoken (International environment)
