We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to help maximize the value that Aperia’s software and platform bring to market. This person will serve an integral role in working with engineering teams and internal stakeholders to define, develop and maintain project plans with the goal of delighting our customers, internal and external, creating transparency, and holding themselves and others to the highest standards of accountability.

Ideal candidates will have experience in delivering a wide variety of technology projects in a project management capacity as well the technical depth required to understand technical constraints and tradeoffs. The candidate must have a desire to constantly learn, generate new ideas, and continually strive to improve the delivery capabilities of the technical teams.

Technical Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Ensuring technical tasks support business requirements and align with organizational objectives.
  • Facilitating project management of technical team sprints to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Supporting technical team to increase maturity of project management practices as individual contributors.
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Facilitation and creation of project plans and schedules, and tracking project performance against these plans.
  • Coordination with internal and external stakeholder to ensure project success.
  • Facilitating team meetings, ensuring team members have clear tasks and deadlines, and managing conflicts as needed.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors and team members.
  • Ensuring that project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time, and to customers satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (other degrees considered based on experience)
  • 3-5 years of experience in managing complex integrated software projects
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering a wide variety of projects (cloud, IoT, application software, etc.)
  • Experience customizing Jira projects to increase transparency and model actual development process
  • Experience as a software engineer, firmware experience a big plus
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code
  • Practical experience implementing agile frameworks with demonstrated success in increasing operational transparency
  • Knowledge of stage-gate project management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong documentation skills
