Job Description:

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis is a senior management position at the Company, responsible for developing corporate financial modeling, forecasting, cash management, and overseeing large capital project works (including manufacturing, site construction, R&D partnership). You will be reporting to the VP of Strategy and Business Development at Antheia and directly working with our C-Suite to provide critical input to co-create and implement key corporate finance works for the growth stage of the company. A successful candidate will be a self-driven leader in a fast-paced working environment, with the excellent modeling and quantitative skills and ability to make decisions with an 80-20 approach. We are looking for candidates who love to build detailed, scenario-based models with the ability to extract complexities into simple business drivers. Candidates who love to work cross-functionally with functions including R&D, Manufacturing and Commercial and recognize that FP&A is uniquely positioned to add value and help business manage its performance for long-term success are encouraged to apply.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for owning, creating and maintaining corporate financial models to support the budgeting, forecasting, and growth of Antheia
  • Lead annual budgeting work, and manage the finance elements of company’s projects, product portfolio and capital work
  • Prepare detailed long-range forecast (5-year plus) inclusive of business expansions, product level indication P&L's, NPV analysis, and scenario specific ROI calculations
  • Track business performance against operating plans and prepare routine reporting for management and business leads.
  • Develop and establish framework to analyze the company’s corporate valuation model and long-term value drivers and opportunities; recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance.
  • Develop strategic value-added analyses around growth opportunities, expense optimization, financing scenarios, and other core business metrics, and drive effective financial decision-making processes.
  • Support large corporate financing milestones (e.g., equity fundraising, debt or other financing activities)
  • Work with different business partners within the organization, gaining insight and knowledge that could affect forecasts.
  • Partner with the Accounting team on monthly, quarterly, and annual closes and support key financial systems transformation (e.g., P2P, ERP systems)
  • Collaborate across the organization with executive leadership, aiding in individualized strategy formulation for different projects and initiatives, in particular with Commercial, Business Development and Corporate Strategy functions
  • Support company’s cash management, review operations for cost-savings opportunities and work cross-functionally to incorporate these initiatives
  • Additional ad hoc duties as required

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Business Administration)
  • Minimum of 10 years’ operation experience in FP&A, Finance, or equivalent quantitative roles
  • Previous experience with manufacturing companies.
  • Expert proficiency in excel modeling for preparing complex financial models (multi-scenarios with complex business drivers), and proven ability to develop and summarize financial analysis in particular for biotech and pharma companies.
  • Expert familiarity with corporate financial planning processes and financial metrics
  • Strong analytical skills with proven ability to manipulate large datasets and extract trends and insights
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and developing BOD and executive level presentations

 

Nice to haves (but not required):

  • MBA is a plus
  • CFA/CPA is a plus 
  • Previous experience with manufacturing companies in the biotech and/or pharma industry; public companies preferred
  • Prior experience supporting fundraising for an organization
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) or similar transactions
  • Database programming skills (python, SQL) are a plus

 

Additional Information:
Full-time base salary range of $185,000 - $205,000, plus an annual bonus potential and equity opportunities.
