We are excited to continue building our remote first team with incredible people like you!
About the role:
We are looking for an Assessment Psychology Consultant to join our growing Assessment team and help us build an assessment process that goes beyond technical-focused vetting.
We have a well-defined and standardized process to assess Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Product Designers. Our goal is to evaluate prospective talent’s technical and soft skills, validate their experience and knowledge, and ensure we accept only the best engineers into the Andela Talent Network. However, our current vetting is mainly passionate about technical skills and abilities. We need to improve our assessment and expand it to cover soft skills more broadly.
We need a problem solver and a creative thinker with hands-on experience in interviewing candidates. We need a psychology consultant that will help us understand how the psychological assessment could work through interviews and testing, and work with us on finding viable and valuable tools, services and creating adequate psychometric and skill tests.
If this sounds like you, keep reading - we want to hear from you! We are a fully remote company, and you can truly live anywhere while doing this job.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible:
- To develop a psychometric assessment framework that would help us genuinely assess candidates’ soft skills.
- Help us create psychometric and proficiency tests and tech screeners to interpret them correctly.
- Support the screeners, especially in the tough conversations.
- Offer counseling to accepted talents in our Talent Network (how to master client interviews, build self-esteem, and present themselves in a better light)
We expect you to contribute actively with your ideas, define them at first, and later keep improving our psychometric assessment process. We need a psychology consultant that will drive and expand the Andela Assessment.
In this role, you will work remotely in a distributed company and help our assessment team keep their quality at the highest level.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Psychology or Social Work.
- At least three years of related professional-level experience, preferably in interviewing candidates.
- Preferably experience in the selection assessment development cycle: job analysis, content creation, validation, and scoring.
- Ability to optimally communicate specialized (in a diagnosable/professional) information to non-technical colleagues and present results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Punctual and diligent working habits.
- Low ego and willing to learn/grow. We need confident and capable people who want to help each other succeed as much as they want to help our talent succeed.
- This role is a remote position that can be done from anywhere.
