About the role

Our learning community is an integral part in achieving Andela’s EPIC mission to connect brilliance with opportunity. We believe that opportunity comes in both the form of careers and learning. The Andela Learning Community has trained 100,000+ learners in Africa to date and this role will be an integral part in bringing learning opportunities to new emerging markets worldwide. 

We are looking for a Partnerships Manager who has a 10x growth mindset, who inspires success for our developer community, who truly believes in unlocking human potential, has extensive experience in building and growing relationships that generate and scale business growth.  If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you! 

  • Build key partner/funder relationships, across key markets, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions and trends
  • Develop expertise on your partners goals & priorities, gather industry insights, and keep your finger on the pulse of the talent marketplace industry in the regions that Andela operates in. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to increase opportunities and funding for partnerships/sponsorships and thereby maximize value for the developer ecosystem and Andela.
  • Put together proposals bids for new assignments/projects/contracts 
  • Contribute to partner success by providing guidance on optimal use of Andela tools and services, adhere to internal compliance guidelines and other rules. 
  • Build your Partner strategy with sound principles in line with Andela’s key business goals and objectives. 
  • Work with data analysts and colleagues to forecast partner revenue. 
  • Track, analyze and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends. 
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams including Talent, Marketing, Comms, Sales and Product. 
  • Work closely with Support teams to proactively resolve operational, business and technical issues for partners. 

 

Key Skills Required

  • Relationship builder who is results-oriented. 
  • Strong product knowledge of existing products
  • Deep understanding of the Andela’s business model will be a plus 
  • Proactive, self-starter with strong commercial acumen
  • Experience of influencing senior management and negotiate effectively with partners 
  • Leadership qualities – ability to lead and deliver results in a highly motivated, demanding
    environment.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with proven ability in interpreting performance trends and taking proactive action.
  • Identification of partner needs and challenges.
  • Networking, Persuasion, Prospecting and Public Speaking
  • Have a high level of attention to detail and organization.
