Oversees the creation and enhancement of new and existing products, coordinating with various teams to ensure compliance with regulations and customer needs.

 What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Partner with key leaders to identify and develop new concepts, raw material supply chains, product formulations, dosing and packaging innovations, and reformulation of existing formulas.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing partners, and Supply Chain to manage various tasks such as competitive cost analysis, prototype coordination, NFP/SFP development, finished good forecasting, and scheduling of first production.
  • Assist in sourcing and developing new raw materials for inclusion in formulas.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure product formulations align with company philosophy and scientific best practices, including creating formula and costing grids, conducting cost analyses, and managing raw material documentation.
  • Initiate and support artwork creation by calculating nutritional information and claims, vetting NFP/SFPs, and participating in Label Review Board for approval.
  • Assist with certifications such as USDA Organic, Non-GMO, Kosher, Vegan, ROC, and others.
  • Maintain accurate information in Tracegains for raw material management and update Finished Product Specifications and Bill of Materials in Specright.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement among existing product lines and work on renovation projects.
  • Source raw materials by identifying, vetting, and onboarding new vendor partners.
  • Assist with supply chain continuity by effectively handling raw material substitutions, quality issues, and product disruptions.
  • Prepare product formula documentation for quotation and to drive communication with co-manufacturers.
  • Oversee prototype organoleptic evaluations for new product concepts.
  • Maintain well-organized documentation of all product development activities.
  • Cultivate an energizing work environment that supports high performance and efficiency.
  • Stay updated with dietary supplement category, competition, formulation/processing technologies, and nutritional ingredient trends, bringing relevant insights into the organization.

What We're Looking For:

  • Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and follow-through.
  • Experience in executing product launches.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills across all disciplines and levels.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Operations experience with outside co-manufacturers.
  • Proficient with Google Suite or related software.
  • Experience using Spec Right and Trace Gains preferred.
  • Project Management skills is a must, preferred experience with "Stage Gate"
  • Familiarity in Commercialization/ R&D, "Concept through Launch"

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5+ years of product development and or CPG experience, preferably in the healthy nutrition / supplement space
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Proficiency in crafting NFPs/SFPs, comprehensive knowledge of ingredients, adept document handling, expertise in product certifications, and proficiency in various technical PD disciplines are essential skills.
