Anchore is seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and outgoing developer advocate. Playing a crucial leadership role in the promotion of Anchore’s open source projects, the developer advocate is responsible for evangelism, ecosystem participation and exploring the possibilities of our DevSecOps technology.  The successful candidate is either in a developer advocate role already or is in a technical role and would like to focus on users and communities rather than code. 

What You Can Expect To Be Doing

  • Driving growth in the adoption of Anchore’s open source tools
  • Identifying relevant communities or industry forums in the DevSecOps, Security and Cloud space to promote Anchore’s tools and technologies
  • Participating in these communities to increase the adoption of the tools and visibility of Anchore as a company 
  • Demonstrating the art of the possible with technology by creating, testing and educating users on existing and potential use-cases
  • Monitoring Anchore’s own community channels (Github, Slack, etc.) to nurture and support our users while measuring and optimizing adoption paths

What You’ll Need To Bring

  • A data-driven approach that measures and reports on adoption patterns
  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering, technical product marketing, or another related field
  • Hands-on experience with community processes and conventions
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills
  • Strong technical skills with an ability to build your own platforms and demos
  • Understanding of containers and current DevOps practices

What We’d Love To See

  • Comfort with at least one programming language and with developer tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • Experience working with the Federal government or Public Sector 
  • A passion for community building
