As the Director / Vice President of Estimating, you’ll be responsible for the creation and execution of ANC’s new business pricing and budgeting proposals. You will also play an integral role in running the day-to-day of our Estimation team, including the management of estimators and cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Projects & Integration, and more.
This is a full-time, exempt position; preferably based in Purchase, NY. Remote applicants will be considered. This role can be at either Director or VP level dependent on candidate's experience. The Head of Estimation reports directly to the SVP of Marketing & Sales Operations and will be responsible for managing two or three estimators.
What you’ll do…
Leads and manages ANC’s Estimation department, responsible for the budget & pricing of ANC’s RFPs (Request for Proposal) and non-RFP business.
Oversees and evaluates estimate requests for sales company wide.
Prepares weekly bid calendar, prioritization, and ensures timely completion of estimates.
Reviews estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy.
Working with sales, project management, partners and vendors to maximize gross profit.
Prepares cost analysis by assembling material, labor, equipment, subcontractor and overhead costs incurred in the installation of A/V technology.
Prepare take-offs, create accurate scopes of work, qualifying subs, soliciting bids, and analyze proposals
Consults with clients, vendors, subcontractors and project managers based on multiple bids to secure the most cost-effective estimate; prepare time, material, labor, equipment and specialty costs.
Negotiate commodity prices with vendors, specifically in sectors of steel fabrication/ erection, electric and data/fiber, LED technology, Audio & Video Production systems, etc.
Develops and maintains resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.
Attend sales meetings and conduct pre-bid walkthroughs on site and manage client and subcontractor expectations during the process
Secure new vendor partnerships
Once job is awarded… negotiate and buyout the project based on accepted bids, working with project management department.
What we’re looking for…
10+ years of experience estimating permanently-installed digital signage (LED, LCD, Projection, etc.) is required.
A background in project management.
Strong knowledge of coding and permitting.
Proven leadership skills.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, sales-driven environment.
Outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills.
Previous team management experience is preferred.
Proficient in Excel.
4-year college degree.
