We want you to think big and act bold through expressing your authentic best self! Anaplan is looking for a General Accountant to join our GL Accounting team. This is a hybrid position based in our Manila Office, with a work schedule starting 6AM Manila time to collaborate with our main Accounting team based out of San Francisco, California, USA. It is a stellar opportunity to get involved in a highly visible, large-scale SaaS cloud company. This is a crucial role that will assist in general accounting operations in a fast paced and evolving environment. This role will be responsible for supporting the month-end close process, SOX compliance control execution and quarterly / annual audit process, as well as identifying and driving project-based work to provide process efficiencies for the GL Accounting team. The candidate should expect to demonstrate current abilities while also focusing on learning quickly and adding new value to the current processes. This role will be reporting to the Accounting Manager.

Your Impact

  • Prepare and upload the journal entry templates for various accounting processes during the Month End Close.
  • Review monthly expense accrual journal entries, reconciliations and related schedules for financial reporting purposes
  • Collaborate with FP&A and other cross-functional departments to ensure completeness of accruals
  • Assist in international accounting related processes, including reviewing the country-specific financial statements, liaising with the 3rd party service provider and responding to regulatory requirements
  • Assist in administrative tasks of the GL accounting team, such as maintaining close calendars and checklists
  • Support quarterly reviews and annual audits through compiling and preparing relevant workpaper
  • Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses (i.e. entity rollout, statutory audits, etc.)

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA is a plus
  • 4+  Years of Public Accounting or Industry experience, Big 4 experience is a plus, global company/shared service company experience is a plus
  • Detailed-oriented and can handle a large volume of manual data through strong Excel Skills
  • Experience in Workday (ERP) is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written English skills – no communication challenges when working with the US onshore teams.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that enables collaboration with the US onshore team (PST time zone)
  • Demonstrated ownership, problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with impeccable integrity
  • Experience with, and enjoys collaborating with other functionalities within the business
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced, constantly evolving, highly transactional and data driven role
