Software Engineer

At Anaplan, we are looking for a passionate Java Engineer to join our global Application Experience team in San Francisco. This is an opportunity for you to work for a high-growth company that is leading the way in enterprise planning.  As a Full-Stack/Java Engineer you will help create new services and applications to administer and manage the Anaplan platform and experience. This role is perfect for someone who has strong skills building backend services that would also like to build on their UI experience with a highly effective team of Front-End Engineers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design and implement highly scalable applications using Java and React
  • Ensure a streamlined/automated application deployment
  • Write code that is tested and testable and take responsibility for the quality of the code you produce. If you're an advocate of TDD, even better.
  • Coach and collaborate inside and outside the team - You enjoy working closely with others, teaching and learning, and are comfortable showing off your work.
  • Share your passion for engineering and deliver great software.
  • Deliver extraordinary communication and collaboration skills - Be pragmatic and know how to build trust.

More About You

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 4+ years of professional experience as a full stack engineer
  • Experience with building and maintaining a SaaS product at scale
  • Experience with Java, Spring frameworks, multi-threading, and caching techniques
  • Design, implementation, and deployment of scalable API services
  • Experience with React or other JavaScript frameworks a plus
  • Experience with HTML and CSS a plus
