Brief Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Design Operations Manager / Lead to join our Experience and Visual Design team.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Track and visualize resource allocation across multiple products and projects
  • Track and visualize the assignment of designers to development squads
  • Work with Product Management to assess incoming work and help balance team workloads
  • Build dashboards (e.g. JIRA) to track incoming and ongoing design work
  • Track timelines and business objectives for design projects
  • Develop, manage and clearly communicate key quantitative metrics to design leadership regarding project status and the health of Design Operations
  • Collaborate with design leadership, planning and leading departmental meetings and activities
  • Organize and maintain departmental resources such as the Experience & Visual Design confluence site
  • Manage user access to design tools and software, making sure designers have what they need to do their job
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new designers joining the team
  • Work closely with the design team, Engineering and Product Management, conducting surveys to identify areas for cross functional improvement
  • Continuously seek ways to improve the processes, practice, and culture of the design team

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a process-oriented mindset
  • Agile project management experience
  • Ability to work cross functionally and collaboratively with Engineering, Product Management & Marketing
  • Ability to collect, manage, and communicate with quantitative and qualitative data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High proficiency in Atlasssian JIRA, Confluence and Asana, especially in the creation and maintenance of dashboards
  • Familiarity with Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, Invision, Miro, and Zeplin
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working with cross functional teams
  • Prior experience working as a UI or UX designer (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
