Brief Overview:
Responsible for facility credentialing function for Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers in accordance with internal policies, hospital requirements, and other regulatory agencies, including Joint Commission.
Core Responsibilities:
Perform credentialing and re-credentialing activities of all providers and practitioners including physicians and mid-level practitioners; involves detailed review of documents and data in compliance with Joint Commission standards
Complete and process credentialing applications
Work with Operational leadership and program managers in maintaining coverage schedule
Enter data into MDStaff database; map applications if needed
Work closely with providers, hospital medical staff offices, internal staff to onboard providers
Ensure all staff dues are paid timely
Follow up on all open items
Provide primary source verification/ongoing review of credentialing files
Present credentialing files to Compliance for review and approval; meet all Joint Commission requirements
