The Cleveland Clinic / Amwell Joint Venture

Position Purpose

As Director of Product Management for the Cleveland Clinic – Amwell Joint Venture, you will be instrumental in leading the development of the Joint Venture’s Clinical Services, Technology and Analytics offerings to ensure we meet the needs and obtain the desired outcomes for our clients, clinical teams,  members and other key stakeholders. You will champion the voice of the member, developing a channel for user/stakeholder engagement and incorporate those insights into the product vision.  You will own the Cleveland Clinic – Amwell Joint Venture product roadmap, enhancement prioritization process, and overall product strategy, and you will set the agenda for engineering teams, product owners and project managers. You will collaborate with key stakeholders for product prioritization, helping to get initiatives assessed, built and launched. The Director of Product Management will work closely with senior leaders at the Cleveland Clinic – Amwell Joint Venture, including the CEO and Chief Clinical Officer. 

The position location is permanent and full-time and can be based Remotely or in Boston, MA or in Cleveland, OH with willingness to travel as required for team collaboration. The role reports directly to the CEO of the Joint Venture.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Become an expert in the Cleveland Clinic – Amwell Joint Venture technology products and clinical services offerings, impacting the lives of thousands of patients and their families/loved ones across the globe
  • Create product roadmaps to ensure we build products and services that attract and retain our customers, while improving clinical outcomes
  • Coordinate product priorities with our Clinical, Marketing, Design, Engineering, Analytics and Operations teams
  • Build strong relationships with Sales and Account Management teams to build awareness and adoption of Cleveland Clinic – Amwell Joint Venture products and services
  • Facilitate positioning and pricing decisions alongside Marketing, Finance, and client-facing teams
  • Develop a strategy and platform for formally collecting and incorporating user and stakeholder needs and wants, closing the circle on our market driven approach
  • Mentor and lead other Product Management associates


  • 8+ years’ experience with commercial products, developing and executing product strategy using Project Management and Agile development best practices
  • Experience in assessing business value of product initiatives, conducting discoveries, and presenting ideas and business cases for prioritization and investment
  • Experience with build vs buy/partner decision-taking and vendor management
  • Experience building and presenting 12-24 month product roadmaps
  • Experience working with software development using Agile, SCRUM and Lean UX principles to coordinate software development both onsite and remotely
  • Experience managing multiple product initiatives to completion using Project and Program Management frameworks
  • An understanding of cloud-based technologies and experience building and launching both web and mobile based solutions
  • Experience working in healthcare is a plus, specifically in the employer benefit and health plan services industry


Education and Certification

  • Undergraduate Degree Required ; Graduate Degree is a plus
  • Agile, SCRUM or CSPO certification is a plus
  • Pragmatic Marketing certification is a plus
  • PMP certification is a plus
