About The Role & Team:

The Head of Field Marketing plays a pivotal role in building and leading a global team of field marketers aligned with our regional sales leaders. This position requires a qualified individual with a deep understanding of sales-focused marketing, coupled with an appreciation for our diverse audiences, including enterprise leaders, data practitioners, and product managers.

 

As a Head of Field Marketing, You Will:

  • Leadership and Team Development:
    • Recruit, train, coach, and lead a high-performing global team of field marketing managers.
  • Demand Generation:
    • Meet or exceed annual targets to drive demand for each of our sales teams.
  • Collaboration and Strategy:
    • Collaborate with sales leaders to understand the unique needs of sales teams and ensure effective partnership, strategy, and execution.
    • Define field marketing requirements from corporate marketing, product marketing, online growth, marketing operations, and program management to support regional sales.
  • Alignment and Brand Standards:
    • Ensure field marketing adheres to global brand marketing standards and aligns with product marketing strategy.
    • Provide regional feedback to refine global marketing functions' strategy.
  • Account-Based Marketing:
    • Set and document global standards for effective account-based marketing practices.
  • Collaboration Standards:
    • Set and document standards for effective collaboration across marketing and sales roles for regional campaign execution.
  • Efficiency and Budget Management:
    • Improve field marketing campaign efficiency in terms of ROI and Customer Acquisition Cost to Lifetime Value ratio.
    • Manage field marketing budget and hiring plan.
  • Advocacy and Prioritization:
    • Advocate for the sales department's priorities within the marketing team.
    • Advocate for the marketing department's priorities within the sales department.
  • Performance Evaluation:
    • Ensure field marketing contributes productively to quarterly business reviews for the supported sales team.

 

You'll be a Valuable Addition to the Team if You Have:

  • Experience:
    • Past experience delivering, accelerating, and expanding sales pipeline through regional marketing.
    • 10+ years of marketing experience.
  • People Management:
    • Proven people management experience and the ability to lead a global team.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on effective collaboration and coordination.
  • Organizational Skills:
    • Extremely detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Sales Support Experience:
    • Experience supporting both direct sales and channel sales teams.

Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in San Francisco Bay Area of California. Salary range: $225,000 - $337,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)

Based on legislation in California, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in California outside of the San Francisco Bay Area. California salary range: $202,000 - $303,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)

Based on legislation in Washington state, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Washington state. Washington salary range: $202,000 - $303,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)

Based on legislation in Washington state, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in Washington only: unlimited PTO, 10 to 13 holidays annually (will vary), medical dental and vision PPO and CDHP plans. Finally, a company sponsored 401(k) retirement plan.
