Ampaire is seeking a highly experienced Project Engineer to serve in a lead role for
our aircraft retrofit projects. In this role, working with the engineering functional
group managers, program managers, supply chain manager, and senior leadership,
you will: Develop and maintain engineering development budgets and schedules that
are continuously accurate and reflect any changes as they arise; Delegate tasks to
the functional groups and assigned contributors to ensure efficient completion of the
project objectives; Ensure that the specifications, requirements and the associated
V&V activities are complete for all subsystems and components for both Internal and
external suppliers; Drive external projects to completion on time and on budget;
Develop, maintain and report on project status metrics, issues and path to resolution.
+ BS Engineering
+ 8+ years of increasing responsibilities in aircraft project engineering
+ Extensive experience with multiple disciplinary projects.
+ Excellent project management and supervision skills.
+ Experience with defining processes, procedures and tools used for hardware,
electrical system and software systems validation and verification testing.
+ Experience with full product development life cycle
+ Experience using requirements management software. Jama experience
+ Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, strategic thinking, and
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Knowledge of FAA policies, standards, and aircraft development best practices.
+ Strong organization and problem-solving skills
+ Ability to use specialized software for collaboration and time management,
including spreadsheets and project scheduling tools (MS Project)
+ Demonstrated ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
from groups of managers and general users
+ Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of the organization to achieve
+ Able to read, analyze, and interpret technical data
+ Able to write in a clear and concise manner
+ Able to communicate project status updates in a team environment
+ Able to effectively plan, organize and complete work with minimal supervision
+ Highly motivated to provide project deliverables on time and be able to establish
priorities when multiple deliverables coincide
+ Interest and ability to contribute to evolving work processes
+ Passionate about engineering software applications and process improvements
+ Advanced degrees In Engineering or Business Administration
+ PMP Certification
+ Familiar with electric powered vehicle design including control systems, battery
systems (Lithium based chemistries), and battery management systems
+ Experience with FAA Certification of electrical and avionics systems per Part 23
+ Expert user of Jama requirements management tool
