the job:

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Global Brand Marketing to join the amika Global Brand Management Team to partner with the Senior Director in building annual marketing plans to drive long term brand equity and achieve business objectives. The Senior Manager will report to the Senior Director and be the gatekeeper of global brand, working extremely cross-functionally with product. Consumer engagement, trade + pro marketing teams to deliver a consistent + impactful consumer experience across all amika channels + markets.

 

location: brooklyn, NY (Hybrid/remote schedule)

salary: $110,000 - $120,000 + benefits

 

what you'll do

Support development of global marketing strategy and calendar development to drive brand equity + perception of amika, partnering closely with senior director to develop compelling brand marketing strategies that bring the global brand vision to life.

  • Understand key drivers of growth and collaborate with senior director on long-term strategy and annual marketing plans.
  • Own development of equity building brand moments, including reinforcement of our brand values + mission, our superfruit soul, ownable brand moments and partnerships that drive perception and brand growth.
  • Lead cross functional global team to communicate global brand priorities, ensure key initiatives are on track and address any issues.

Design global go-to-market campaign strategies for new launches, product, and brand campaigns, laddering up to brand strategy and connecting the brand to global target audiences.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the existing and target amika customer segments, our stylist and the market, and champion relevant insights throughout the GTM process.
  • Lead creative briefing and creative development process in partnership with brand marketing manager, ensuring campaigns offer rich storytelling, sharp product positioning, and assets that support the entire consumer journey.
  • Partner closely with brand marketing manager to drive collaboration with consumer engagement, pro marketing & sales, trade marketing, e-commerce, and product marketing to steward brand + campaign strategy through launch and develop partnerships to ensure all marketing activities are aligned and integrated, offering a seamless consumer experience.
  • Collaborate closely with the Global Product Marketing and editorial teams to ensure that campaign strategies deliver clear product positioning and compelling reasons to buy across all touchpoints.
  • Lead post-mortem analysis of new launches and campaigns with cross-channel partners, summarizing and sharing learnings across the organization to inform future initiatives and optimize campaigns.

Stay ahead of emerging global trends, culture, competitive activity, and innovations globally, infusing insights + data into strategies for brand growth:

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, customer insights, and competitive landscapes, translating findings into actionable brand + campaign plans.
  • Connect consumer insights from market research + product strategy and bridge with brand + campaign strategies to develop campaigns that drive brand perception + objectives.
  • Lead monthly + quarterly dashboard and reporting updates across the marketing team, identifying key insights + recommendations based on brand health + performance.

 

must haves

  • 6-8 years of related global brand marketing experience (hair care or skin care preferred), including end to end experience / traditional brand management.
  • Creative thinker with a love for culture + trends
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable with ambiguity + creating processes + collaborative partnerships to set up a high growth brand for success.
  • Experience with global innovation or product marketing, claims development and product storytelling
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Strong analytical thinking and business acumen
  • Ability to distill action from insights + market research into brand strategy + creative briefs
  • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in marketing analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A hands-on self-starter with strong organizational skills who is comfortable with fast turnarounds and tight timelines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, and creative skills
  • Proactive approach – take initiative to do what is needed for the business.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (mainly Excel + PowerPoint) and similar program
