The Demand Planner is responsible for demand forecasting by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support the sales and sales operations of the company. They will use their background in supply chain, data mining, statistical analysis, and visualization to identify trends and patterns in shipment and sales forecasting data.  Data will help to refine monthly forecasting processes and drive efficiency and effectiveness of the sales and operations teams/processes ensuring the KPIs needed for decision making are clear and actionable.

Responsibilities:

  • Own monthly demand and revenue forecasting processes.
    • Use sales pipeline demand and historical data to create robust monthly demand forecast to direct factory supply planning
    • Analyze factory operations supply response to understand and drive inventory strategies.
    • Combine demand forecast, factory operations supply response along with other strategic market data to create monthly revenue forecast
    • Clearly communicate revenue plans and risks/opportunities to finance and sales leadership
  • Collect, clean, and organize data from a variety of sources, including Salesforce, sales reports, forecast, market data, backlog, and financial reports.
  • Analyze data using statistical techniques to identify trends and patterns.
  • The position will require collection and analysis of data in the following key areas:
    • Margin, Forecasting, Customer Segmentation, Product Profitability, Revenue, Channel Analysis, Market Analysis and Inventory tracking.
  • Develop and implement data visualization tools through Excel and PowerBI to communicate findings to cross functional stakeholders.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements
  • Prepare and present reports to leadership.
  • Developing and maintaining new data sets.
  • Training other employees on data analysis techniques and tools
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest data analytics tools and techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, data science, statistics, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in product planning, forecasting and data analysis, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
  • Experience with PowerBI and Salesforce.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite.  Excellent Excel skills required.
  • Experience with data mining, statistical analysis, and visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross functional team.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
