Role: Director of Benefits

As the Benefits Director at Ambient Enterprises, you will be responsible for leading and transforming the company’s employee benefits strategy. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker capable of aligning benefits offerings with organizational objectives, enhancing the employee experience, and driving long-term business performance. You will oversee the full spectrum of benefits programs and will collaborate closely with senior leadership to ensure that the benefits package reflects both the needs of our workforce and the strategic priorities of the business. This is a critical leadership position that will shape the future of employee well-being at Ambient Enterprises, ensuring our benefits programs are innovative, competitive, and aligned with industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the overall benefits strategy, ensuring it aligns with corporate goals, enhances the employee experience, and drives organizational success.
  • Direct the day-to-day operations of the benefits function, ensuring high levels of efficiency, effectiveness, and service delivery while maintaining alignment with company goals.
  • Drive the innovation and enhancement of benefits programs to keep the organization competitive and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements. Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and better service delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., HR, finance, and senior leadership) to design and communicate benefits programs that align with the company’s strategic vision and foster a positive corporate culture.
  • Oversee the benefits budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources, and continuously monitor financial performance to ensure benefits spending aligns with organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, as well as internal policies, while proactively managing risks related to benefits programs.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for senior leadership on benefits-related matters, providing expert guidance, data-driven insights, and strategic recommendations.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing benefits team, promoting a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and professional growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in benefits management, with a proven track record in a leadership role within a large organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of employee benefits regulations, policies, and best practices at a national level.
  • Strong experience in leading benefits strategy, driving innovation, and optimizing program delivery.
  • Leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior executives.
  • Advanced financial acumen with the ability to manage large budgets, analyze cost data, and make strategic financial recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex benefits information to a wide variety of stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Proficiency with benefits management software and advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • HVAC industry knowledge is a plus but not required.

Estimated Salary:
$140,000 - $170,000 annually, with flexibility based on experience and skills.
