Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. The Commercial HVAC Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring all systems operate efficiently and safely in commercial buildings. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong customer service abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration components.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with commercial HVAC equipment and perform necessary repairs.
  • Conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of commercial HVAC systems.
  • Test electrical circuits, components, and thermostats for proper functionality.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturers’ instructions specific to commercial installations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and inventory tracking.
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining system issues and maintenance requirements to commercial clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal HVAC codes and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to complete projects efficiently.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices in commercial HVAC.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in HVAC or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Commercial HVAC Service Technician or similar role.
  • Experience with controls, ventilation, and package rooftop equipment in commercial settings required.
  • Valid HVAC license and EPA certification for handling refrigerants.
  • Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, electrical components, and mechanical operations.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving commercial HVAC-related issues.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and endure various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
