Role: HVAC Application Engineer - Custom Air Handlers
As a part of our Sales Team, you will be responsible for designing and creating HVAC equipment selections, proposal and submittals for our Custom Air Handler projects. Partnering with an Outside Salesperson(s), your focus will be assisting in the design of projects and supporting the sales rep with the responsibilities included in the pre-sale process. You’ll work hand-in-hand with the application engineers to bring to life the designs to meet the specific needs of the project. You'll be working on large, complicated and bespoke designs. You’ll get exposure to some of the most challenging, complex, and iconic building projects in the New York City and beyond! This role can be based out of our NYC office or remote.
Responsibilities:
- Support / coordinate with your respective Outside Salesperson person(s). This will be your most important collaboration as you will help support their clients, deals and projects.
- Coordinate and develop relationships with the factory personnel that will assist you in the design of the HVAC Systems
- Design equipment for engineers and contractors
- Review design documents and specifications to provide pricing estimates.
- Creation of proposals and generating pricing documentation.
- Order, process and track equipment purchasing in conjunction with an internal software sales platform
- Maintain constant and clear communication with Outside Sales reps through all aspects of the construction and fabrication process.
- Compile installation, operation and maintenance manuals and closeout documentation for projects.
- Coordinate onsite startup services and technical owner training for sold equipment.
Requirements:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree
- 2+ years in the HVAC industry
- The ability to problem solve. Our projects are complex and have many moving parts. The ideal candidate will know how to roll up their sleeves and search for answers.

- Clear communication. You will be interacting with teammates, manufacturers and clients. Strong written and verbal communication is key.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Adobe or Bluebeam
Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $1200,000,plus bonus, with flexibility based on experience and skills.
