The role:

We are looking for a FinOps Associate to join us here at Altruistiq. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with the FinOps Manager to establish and run a best-in-class finance function in a high-growth scale up tech firm. You will be familiar with what a good finance function looks and feels like, be a steward for accurate reporting of financial data, together with the running of efficient processes. The role will also involve support on financial analysis, reporting KPIs, ad-hoc finance projects and support to the wider FinOps team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the day-to-day finance operations, including accounting, payments and reconciliations
  • Manage employee spend reconciliations on Pleo and Cledara including robust processes for the collection of supporting documentation
  • Managing the invoicing process on several platforms including renewals and non-recurring revenue
  • Respond to basic internal and external finance queries
  • Preparation of month end journals including accruals, prepayments, deferred income, fixed assets
  • Supporting month end close and the production of management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, KPIs, as well as year-end statutory accounts
  • Prepare quarterly VAT and other statutory returns
  • Continually looking to improve our financial processes and reporting as we expand into new markets and regions
  • Robust documentation of new and existing processes
  • Ad-hoc FinOps projects such as payment process automation, fixed asset validation, process management automation

Requirements:

  • A background in financial processes and / or financial administration is essential
  • Qualification in Accounting or working towards being fully qualified, such as ACCA
  • Deep experience and product knowledge of Xero
  • A good understanding of Microsoft Excel / Google Spreadsheets
  • Excellent communicators, both written and verbal, with an ability to successfully engage with team members, clients and stakeholders
  • Understand that a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality is key to succeed in this role
  • Not essential but advantageous to be familiar with: Notion / Dext / Pleo / Cledara / PayFit
