At Perch Credit, we are passionate about bringing financial power to all. As the first finance hire at the company, we are looking for a self-motivated, independent financial leader that will be responsible for the design and implementation of a scalable finance platform to measure financial results and key operational metrics to support the company’s rapid growth. The ideal candidate:

- Has the experience and passion for building from the ground up, from financial processes and systems to infrastructure and reporting
Responsibilities
- Lead Perch Credit’s financial forecast and planning processes and build out the financial infrastructure that can support the needs of current and future business requirements
- Is responsible for leading the accounting, tax, and financial reporting activities to enable us to meet operational, reporting and audit requirements as we scale
- Implement effective internal controls and processes to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, the integrity of corporate data, and safeguarding of assets and serve as the company’s point person for annual financial audit
- Implement and enforce company-wide travel & expense policies and platform
- Manage vendor payables, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, claims payments, and expense reimbursement
- Assist the Head of Ops with benchmarking, ad hoc analyses, budgeting and reporting
- Manage and monitor company’s cash, capital allocation, and overall financial health
- Assist the Head of Risk and Risk Managers with Loss Provisioning and Capital planning reconciliations
- Coordinate and maintain relationships with key external third parties, including audit, tax, bookkeeping, and banking partners
Who You Are
- Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining financial controls, guidelines, policies and procedures that protect company assets and promote financial consistency across the organization
- 7+ years experience in Accounting/Finance, preferably at high-growth technology companies, FinTech experience preferred
- Familiarity working with Quickbooks Online
- Strong communication skills, ability to articulate complex accounting principles to a diverse audience of multiple backgrounds
- CPA and/or experience at a “Big 4” firm a plus
- Exposure to capital planning including loan loss provisioning / credit controllership a plus
- Experience managing warehouse credit facilities / balance sheets for the purposes of credit a plus
- Exposure to Budget development and Strategic planning with financial forecasting a plus
