Medication Therapy Management Technician

About the role

As a Medication Therapy Management Technician at Alto Pharmacy, you are passionate about our mission and have the desire to shape the future of pharmacy. You will play a major role in the success of Medication Therapy Management (MTM) at Alto by providing support to the MTM pharmacist and helping to engage the patient on a personal level.  You will assist in providing services that ensure that our patients are receiving the best therapeutic outcomes from their medications.

Employment is conditional upon having an active PTCB certification. Alto will cover the cost of your registration fee and renewals upon expiration.

Accelerate your Career as You:

  • Assist with MTM services across multiple platforms for primary Alto patients and patients who fill their prescriptions at competing pharmacies.
  • Generate and send prescriber communications and monitor incoming communications from clinics and patients around MTM claims.
  • Communicate with patients to schedule Comprehensive Medication Reviews (CMR) and assist the MTM Pharmacist in gathering medication lists and issues to address during the review.
  • Document MTM claims that have been completed by the MTM Pharmacist.
  • Follow up to unresponsive patients and providers on outreaches made related to MTM interventions.

A Bit About You:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience working in a pharmacy
  • An active pharmacy technician (PTCB) license in good standing with residing state, free of any disciplinary actions
  • Ability to learn and operate a new pharmacy management system and other relevant equipment
  • Ability to interpret, transcribe, and troubleshoot prescription information
  • Ability to perform common math calculations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience navigating medication management platforms such as OutcomesMTM, OptumRx MedMonitor and/or EQuIPP. 
  • Have worked with a team to help meet pharmacy level MTM goals.
  • Have experience scheduling and documenting CMR and TMR claims in MTM platforms.
  • It is a plus is you are fluent in speaking Spanish

 

Salary Range: $25.09 - $29.52
