Remote Role – Strong preference for Eastern Time Zone


This is an exciting role to consider - lots of new financial processes to create and implement. You'll be involved in numerous diverse processes across the business with a unique set of challenges. A great opportunity to help us build something new!



The purpose of this role is to support the overhead corporate teams who in turn support all Altera business units.  This small but mighty team will create the processes within the Altera FP&A team that will be implemented across all business units.


  • Create and implement new financial processes in support of Altera business units 
  • Perform analysis of financial information and recommends actions for improvement for supported corporate functions
  • Prepare various schedules to support the financial information presented
  • Assist in developing, communicating, and maintaining the cadence of monthly close/forecast and annual planning cycles
  • Communicate effectively and proactively with internal stakeholders to ensure information is presented logically and consistently
  • Complete special projects as assigned by management


Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field or equivalent experience


  • 4+ years’ relevant finance experience
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting practices/principles, financial analysis, and reporting; ability to apply finance knowledge appropriately to diverse situations
  • Problem solver, detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, especially dealing with large volumes of data, while completing tasks with high levels of precision
  • Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems
  • Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations
  • Advanced Excel skills – experienced with very large data sets, pivot tables, data cleansing and formula building
  • Able to work on complex issues and perform in-depth evaluations
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and presentation skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and manage time effectively
  • Strong documentation skills

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 10% travel may be required
