Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Working knowledge of at least 2 database technologies – PostgreSQL\MySQL\MSSQL\Oracle\MongoDB\DB2 etc. Should have eagerness to learn and ability to leverage the knowledge to work on other database technologies.
- Experience in at least one cloud technology – Azure\AWS\GCP.
- Responsible for day-to-day activities regarding the upkeep and availability of all database servers in the environment.
- Expertise in database architecture, design and performance optimization.
- Should be able to quickly understand the database architecture and perform strategic analysis of database infrastructure to provide recommendations in improving performance.
- Ability to identify the gaps in database performance, opportunities for improvements, and potential intrusions.
- Leading the major incidents\outages and serving as an escalation point for complex problems.
- Understanding and ensuring all database servers are managed to Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
- Expertise in designing database DR strategies.
- Develop and establish policies and procedures related to data security and integrity; monitor and limit database access as needed.
- Handling the database projects by following project guidelines and ensuring timely deliverables.
- Experience in writing automation scripts using T-SQL\Linux shell\Powershell or equivalent scripting languages.
- Excellent Communication skills and mentoring team members on various technologies, policies and procedures.
- Provide 24*7 support in rotational shift.
Qualifications:
- Graduate in bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Experience with large-scale database environments.
- Experience with working on multiple clients as shared resource.
- Excellent Communication and team coordination skills.

- Ability to manage competing priorities and workflow by using interpersonal skills to provide a detailed, deadline, and result-oriented organization that motivates and encourages the team to meet their strategic objectives.
- Deep understanding of ITIL framework: Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request management processes.
- Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
- Detail Oriented, Multi- tasking and able to deal with tight deadlines and stress.
