JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a Product Manager to lead our team in meeting business needs and delighting customers through efficient software engineering practices. The ideal candidate will excel in managing the product development lifecycle, achieving time-to-market and value targets, and providing technical leadership. Responsibilities also include taking ownership of budgetary aspects like project profitability, sales revenue, and training budgets to drive successful outcomes and support business growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS /MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Cross-functionally drive development and launch of the product from concept to delivery.
  • Defines and writes technical and functional specifications including requirements and detailed use cases for new product features.
  • Explains designs and constraints to stakeholders, writing User Stories for Dev teams.
  • Work with engineering, QA, professional services, and technical operations during design and implementation to shape the technical feature set and usability of the product and ensure the highest quality products delivered on-time, on budget and with superior performance and support.
  •  Analyzes and ensures performance requirements are met.
  • Reviews test plans with software quality assurance team.
  • Collects and manages requirements from all stakeholders for one or more products across multiple product generations,
  • Synthesizes requirements from the various stakeholders.
  • Plans and manages execution of product roadmaps, development schedules and product/component designs
  • Manages the cross functional compatibility of software, hardware, and firmware for the solution
  • Coordinates business and contractual arrangements with partners
  • Trains and supports others on functional area related topics
  • Supports advisory boards, user groups and SIGs as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, Marketing, Finance, or business related field preferred

Experience 

  • Software design experience in complex, multi-tasking, real-time, highly availability systems required
  • 7+ years relevant work experience; 2-3 years at the Senior level or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience with relational databases required
  • Experience working in small, highly focused teams required
  • Experience with complex software solutions across multiple generations of product, preferably in agent-based solutions.
  • Must be able to define and manage complex process and/or product issues of a broad scope using independent judgment required
  • 1-3 years product management experience required
  • Experience writing technical functional specifications required

  • Product Lifecycle Management: Experience in managing the product development lifecycle from concept to delivery, ensuring time to market and value targets are met.
  • Technical and Functional Specification Writing: Ability to define and write technical and functional specifications, including requirements and detailed use cases for new product features, particularly for healthcare applications.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Proficiency in explaining designs and constraints to stakeholders and writing user stories for development teams, with a strong emphasis on healthcare scenarios.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong skills in working with engineering, QA, professional services, and technical operations during design and implementation to shape the feature set and usability of healthcare products, especially EHR systems.
  • Quality Assurance and Testing: Experience in analyzing performance requirements and reviewing test plans with the software quality assurance team, with a focus on meeting healthcare industry standards.
  • Requirements Management: Ability to collect, manage, and synthesize requirements from all stakeholders for one or more healthcare products across multiple product generations, with expertise in EHR systems.
  • Product Roadmap Execution: Skills in planning and managing execution of product roadmaps, development schedules, and product/component designs, with specific knowledge of healthcare industry needs and EHR system development.

Preferred Skills

  • Cross-Functional Compatibility Management: Capabilities in managing the compatibility of software, hardware, and firmware for the solution.
  • Business and Contractual Coordination: Experience in coordinating business and contractual arrangements with partners.
  • Training and Support: Ability to train and support others on functional area-related topics.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Experience in supporting advisory boards, user groups, and special interest groups as needed.
  • Global and Cultural Awareness: Ability to work effectively with teams across various countries (AU, CA, IL, IN, UK, US) and understand diverse cultural dynamics.
  • ASP.NET Technologies: Familiarity with developing or managing projects using ASP.NET frameworks.
  • MS SQL Server: Understanding of database management and query optimization in MS SQL Server.
  • Angular: Knowledge of Angular for developing dynamic and responsive web applications.
  • Azure Technologies: Experience in utilizing Azure technologies for cloud-based solutions and services.
